From 1974, he resumed his line-rhythm painting, and opened another personal exhibition at Grorich gallery while working with Dongin Park at his painting room located in Donggyodong. At this time of his life, he met his spouse Yangja Hwang who was studying fine art at Chungang University graduate school. (married 28th November)

Kang refused to slow down: he held another personal exhibition, this time with lithography, at Hanguk gallery in Seoul in 1978. Then from Oct. 1979 till February, he had a chance to experience European art scenes while holding a personal oil painting exhibition at Grandville gallery. Upon his return to Korea, he continued his strenuous routine of working as he moved to a new workshop in 35-1, 1st St., Sungbukdong, Sungbukgu, Seoul, and became a professor at Hansung University (1980-1992) in 1980. He also completed his masters at Kunkuk University graduate school for education with his dissertation ‘Investigation of methodology of Korea art ? In search of our traditional rhythm’.
In 1984, he moved his workshop again to 279-2 Hasangokdong, Hanamsi, Kyunggido with his living space attached in order to concentrate on his painting and printmaking. He eventually held another two personal exhibition, one was at Ujung Museum in Seoul with the title ‘Garak’, and another at the Korean Culture and Arts Foundation art hall in 1989 under the title The Glow of History from which he had a main piece The Glow of History hung on the wall of the center hall of Korean Parliament.
