As I behold his works posthumously, I cannot hide my delight and simultaneously being overwhelmed by sentimental recollection.
A lot of times he spared his words. The problem with people’s trivial speaking manners, as far as my understanding goes, is that they are common recipes for confusion as they create lack of exactness, ambivalence, and neutral directory.
He wanted to avoid them, and the way of the avoidance was unique in the sense that he harped on the matter of discussion of whatever on the table to express it on canvas, hence efficiently shunning spoken grandiloquence and delivering his own pure form of understanding via his pictures. No boisterousness, no additives.
He bore no sweetness of a shallow person, just deep in his soul with tranquility like watching water surface. Is this what they call the relationship of the wise?
He was always there to help, putting everyone else before himself.

그의 유작을 보게 되니 기쁘고 게다가 화집으로 만나게 되니 감당하기 어려운 감회가 있다.
그는 말을 아끼는 사람이었다. 대부분 사람들이 자기의 생각이나 의사를 언어로 표현한다. 그러나 언어적 표현의 부 정확성이나 모호함 그리고 중의성으로 말미암아 혼란이 일어나기 십상이다.
그는 애써 그런 혼란을 피하려고 했다. 그가 말을 아껴서 쓸데없는 장황함을 피하려 했던 것은 그에게 또 다른 표현의 수단이 있었기 때문이었다. 그는 하고 싶은 말을 곱씹어 불순한 것을 없게 한 후에 온 마음을 쏟아 그것을 화폭에 담았다.그는 친구와의 사귐에 요란함이 없었다.
속 얕은 사람의 달콤함이 없었다. 그저 물처럼 맑고 담담하였다. 이를 일러 군자의 사귐이라 하였던가?
그는 항상 자진해서 말없이 남을 도왔다. 남을 먼저 생각하고 자기를 나중에 하였다.
강국진교수...
그는 자기의 생각을 담은 그림을 세상에 남겨 두었고, 뭇 사람의 가슴속에는 깊은 우정을 남겨 두었다.
