1967, 가변설치(페니실린 병, 책상, 푸른 천)
강국진은 하나의 작품을 발표하는 시기의 전후에 작품을 구성하는 소재를 일부 바꾸거나 위치를 달리하여 다양한 변용을 시도하곤 했다. 그는 ‘청년작가연립전’에서 페니실린 병과 거울을 이용하여 ‘시각’에 대해 탐구한 <시각의 즐거움>을 발표한 뒤, 푸른 천 위에 페니실린 병들을 늘어놓는 설치 작업을 시도했다. 전시를 통해 공개적으로 발표되지는 않았으며, 원작은 소실된 채 작가가 보관하고 있던 사진만 남아있다. (김미경, 미술사학 박사 / 강남대 교수 / 한국예술연구소KARI 대표)
The Vision of today

It was in Kang’s habit to vary constitutional elements of his works or dis- or relocating them before and after their launching. For one, he employed some variations on his Joy of Vision after its introduction to the world, precisely adding a large blue cloth on the table. This new version was never displayed for public and was also lost leaving only photographic memorabilia.
